The hiking map Viaduct-Wanderweg is dedicated to the circular hiking trail of the same name, which was awarded the "Quality Trail Wanderbares Deutschland" and whose start and end point is the historic steam locomotive in Altenbeken. The East Westphalian town is considered a real gem among railway enthusiasts, not least because of the two viaducts. The large viaduct spans the valley of the Beke with twenty-four stone arches at a height of thirty-five meters. It is considered to be the largest stone railway bridge in Europe. The Paderborner H?henwanderweg runs as a panoramic tour around Neuenbeken. Impressive beech forests, the romantic Beketal and fantastic views of Bad Lippspringe, the Senne and the Teutoburg Forest characterize the route.
