The South Yorkshire Moors

The South Yorkshire Moors is an original cartogrpahic guide tot the moorlands of South Yorkshire and parts of northern Derbyshire. The book covers the open access moorland of Howden, Derwent, Stanage, Kinder Scout, Bleaklow,and the Eastern Moors, seeking out less-trvelled routes across these popular parts of the Peak District. There are extensive notes and sketches on local history and wildlife, geology and etymology and the long fight for access to these wild spaces right on Sheffield's doorstep.

Over twenty suggested routes included, offering different approaches to the high points and remote corners of the Dark Peak, with most accesible by public transport.
