Cortina is a vast, modern bolted rock climbing area in a stunning natural setting in the heart of the Dolomites. In this guidebook there are 28 sites and over 1,000 routes. Some crags are suitable for beginners and others are adapted for more experienced climbers. Most of the crags are single pitch - the multi-pitch routes are mainly concentrated on the tower walls of Cinque Torri. Together with Crepe de Oucera, Cinque Torri has the most climbs, although Landro also offers a broad range of sports routes. Cortina d'Amprezzo is a well known destination in the northern part of the Italian province of Belluno, in the heart of the Dolomites and easily accessible from Venice (150km away). It is only 40 km from the Austrian border.
