The highest peak in Wales is also the highest in the British Isles outside of Scotland, making it a very popular summit for UK hillwalkers. Many know this peak by its English name "Snowdon," but in 2024 the Welsh National Park Authority officially transitioned to called the mountain by its Welsh name: "Yr Wyffda." This view of the mountain from the nearby summit of Carnedd y Cribau depicts all the high peaks of the massif as wall as a handful of Yr Wyffda's lower neighbors.
