Hogruta in Jotunheimen is an alpine cross-country ski trip through the heart of the most alpine mountain area in Norway. As Norway's answer to the "Haute route", this tour goes in five day stages from Bessheim/Gjendesheim via Memurubu, Glitterheim, Spiterstulen, Leirvassbu to Krossbu. The right route Jotunheimen crosses the most beautiful mountain passes and some of the highest peaks in Scandinavia. This 1:25,000 scale alpine map has terrain information based on laser scanning from aircraft. The map describes Jotunheimen in detail and creates good conditions for alpine ski touring. The "original" Hogruta from 2014 is drawn on the map, as well as various alternatives that are often used. The map is made of the material Tyvek, which is water-resistant, tear-resistant and lightweight.
