This guidebook provides a selection of the best multi-pitch trad and sport rock climbing routes to be found in Corsica outside of the Bavella Massif. All the areas covered are mainly in the northwest of the island including the limestone areas around Corti, the granite areas north of Aiacciu, and the Gorges de la Restonica near Corti.
In total 155 different routes are described in 7 main areas with the routes ranging in length from 150m long to over 600m long. The routes described encompass both trad and fully bolted sport routes across a wide range of grades.
The guidebook covers routes in the following 20 crags, which are: Monte Latu, Gozzi, Cardiccia, Verghellu, Gorges de la Restonica, Tavignano, Popolasca, San Pedrone, Arinella, Aitone, Tavulella, I Cascioni, Capu d?Ortu, Ambata, Paglia Orba, Haut Ascu, Bonifatu, Capu alla Vella, Monte Genova, and Monte Merchio.
Each crag is introduced with a clear location map, approach description, GPS co-ordinates for the parking, and altitude. All the routes are shown, topo style on good clear photographs, with French technical and subjective (i.e. TD, ED etc) grades. Also detailed for each route is a description, its length, the obligatory grade (i.e. if some aid is used), approach time, expected route time and descent information.
The guidebook is packed with many stunning photographs that show the fantastic multi-pitch climbing found in Corsica. Published in December 2024 (revised 4th edition that reflects many new routes), this guidebook is in French and English text throughout.
