Everest Unmasked DVD

Issued for the first time on DVD, this film follows Reinhold Messner and Peter Habeler as they attempt to be the first climbers to summit Mount Everest without supplementary oxygen. The film follows their route through the Khumbu icefall and into the Western Cwm, then up to the South Col and from there on to the summit - the DVD is packed with extras and includes a detailed history of previous attempts on the mountain including Mallory and Irvine's disappearance in 1924 and Hillary and Tensing's success in 1953.
