Bregenzen Forest, Large Walsertal, Nagelfluhkette

The Bregenzerwald, the largest region in the federal state of Vorarlberg, extends almost from Lake Constance to the border with Tyrol, with the Ache running through it. It inspires hikers and mountain bikers alike with a fascinating variety of landscapes: narrow valleys and flat depressions alternate with the hills of the foothills of the Alps and high alpine peaks such as Kanisfluh, Diedamskopf or Widderstein. The Gro?e Walsertal is wildly romantic, characterized by steep, green slopes where brown cattle graze, mountain peaks, steep gorges, roaring streams, waterfalls and the clear Seewaldsee. In addition to the unique landscape, there are numerous museums that take visitors back in time.
