Here the Yorkshire Wolds and East Yorkshire coast are finally covered for the first time.
Included within this volume are virtually all the best walking features of the delectable yet unsung Wolds, including the market towns of Beverley and Market Weighton. Easy walking along dry chalk valleys leads to a host of attractive villages: also featured are iconic coastal landmarks such as Flamborough Head and Spurn Point. The area is easily accessible from the cities of Hull and York, as well as Scarborough, Bridlington, Malton, Selby and Goole. This guide complements two titles covering the nearby North York Moors National Park published in 2015.
In addition to being far more visually appealing than their predecessors, with the use of colour throughout and a more modern house style, these new titles feature a lower cover price than many of the old series. Also, the 'Walking Country' is replaced by 'Walking in Yorkshire', to give a stronger, recognisable identity.
Each collection of walks provides 25 glorious outings amid a rich variety of scenery. A collection of over 60 colour photographs depict features and landscapes along the routes, while concise route descriptions are complemented by a wealth of background information.
