I wanted to put this book here - there was a knock on the door one day, and a quick peep out of the window showed a little red van camouflaged in bright pink flowers. This was Kinga Freespirit with her books under her arm. She came to ask us to sell them into bookshops and wherever else we could.

And now I've just been told that her travels have come to an end. The following is an extract from her website 'With great sadness, we received the news that she passed away on June 9, 2006 in Accra, Ghana, due to complications caused by cerebral malaria.'
