Maps are poorly represented in the high street and the information's difficult to display on the internet yet you need to make sure you've got the right one before you spend your money! Our catalogue majors on maps for walking/trekking/mountaineering. When we're making our selection we look at the map using our 'outdoor' eyes. We have our favourites - the Swiss maps are good enough to put on the wall, you can rely on Freytag to have something to those underpublished places while Zagier's South American topo maps using satellital views take mapping to new realms.
