2009 THE MATTERHORN - XMAS CARD

The 2009 Alpine Club Christmas card is taken from the Alpine Club's collection of painting No 17. Albert Gos was an important Swiss landscape artist who trained under Alexandre Calame. This inspiring moonlight view of the Matterhorn in oils was recently cleaned and restored thanks to the generosity of Club members and John Mitchell and Son, Bond Street, London.
