One of a set of two volume guidebooks from JMEditions covering ice climbing and dry-tooling in the Haute Savoie region in France - Volume 1 covers Val Montjoie, Val d’Arly and the Aravis Mountains, volume 2 describes the climbing areas on the right bank of the River Arve, in the Giffre Valley which includes one of the world’s most famous venues: The Cirque du Fer à Cheval. The guides are published in English throughout, have excellent photo-topos of all the crags; there is a great selection of action shots as well as detailed area maps to make finding the cliffs fairly straightforward.
